August 29th saw the world congratulating Michael Jackson on his 50th birthday. Such a talent, his musical gift needs to be reborn and Michael will emerge again and reinvent himself over the next two years.
Another great talent also shared his 50th birthday with Michael on this same date, that wonderful comedian and actor Lenny Henry. I have always been a great fan of Lenny, and we all remember the comedy characters he invented and we all laughed at. However, people tend to forget what a good actor he is and the next year will see him taking on a new role that will showcase his great abilities in this area.
This is a man that we see fronting Comic Relief, but behind the scenes and away from the media Lenny is a genuine, compassionate human being, who believes in doing good for others quietly and without the media recognition.
His heart is as big as he is, however, it is time he was rewarded and it won’t be too long before the Queen herself touches him, who knows maybe we will see “Sir Lenny Henry”?
He will wear this mantle well!
It will be deserved
